All meats are smoked in-house and prepared fresh daily. Enjoy our twist on traditional shrimp-n-grits, po'boy sandwiches, roux-based gumbo's, housemade sausage, zydeco oysters, smoked brisket, and pulled pork; all of which pair beautifully with indulgent sides of BBQ beans, sauteed green beans in butter and garlic, Kicked up collard greens, coleslaw, cornbread, Creole mac 'n' cheese, and more.
Our soon-to-be-famous bar, "Hurricane Alley," boasts an extensive selection of beer, wine, liquor, and house cocktails, including our Famous Swamp Juice, Housemade Margaritta's with freshly squeezed lime juice ( NO FAKE MARGARITA MIXES HERE!!!) and year-round Homemade hurricanes, in a truly French Quarter fashion. Meet the Owner
Marcus Dickman was born and grew up in New Orleans where he spent many hours in his family's kitchen, experiencing Louisiana culture and cuisine firsthand Growing up and spending time with the Brennan and Copelands families. Marcus has more than 15 years of restaurant industry experience under his belt, including back and front-of-house positions for Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchens, Dave & Buster's, ... more lifornia Pizza Kitchen, and The Chart House. In July 2020, Marcus debuted a brainchild of his own: Bayou'Q Smokin' Bistreaux & Bar on Canton Street, a highly-awaited destination for house-smoked meats and authentic Cajun cuisine.
